Opportunities

Opportunities Day is a special highlight of the week at BMIS, where students can dive into their passions, discover new interests, and celebrate their cultural heritage. This dynamic program offers a wide variety of teacher-led activities designed to inspire creativity, curiosity, and connection.

Students can choose from engaging options like wearable arts, clay making, mad science, board games, chess club, history club, mindfulness, ngā tākaro (traditional Māori games), sports skills, ShowQuest, computer refurbishment, photography, sewing, and cooking.

Opportunities Day is also a time to celebrate our vibrant cultural diversity through our cultural groups, including kapa haka, Samoan, Tongan, Cook Island, Filipino, and Bollywood dance groups. These groups allow students to connect with their heritage, share their culture with others, and take pride in their identity.

Whether developing new skills, pursuing creative passions, or celebrating culture, Opportunities Day empowers students to learn, grow, and thrive in a supportive and inclusive environment.
